FIELD PROJECT ENGINEER

Location: Alabama & Florida
Salary: $75,000–$80,000 + Great Benefits

Support Project Managers and Engineers with day-to-day project operations. Coordinate with owners, inspectors, crews, and subcontractors. Monitor construction to ensure work meets plans, specifications, quality, and safety standards. Assist with project scheduling, material procurement, and quantity tracking. Prepare work plans, drawings, and project documentation. Interpret construction plans and specifications. Coordinate surveying, elevations, layouts, and as-built documentation. Qualifications

Position: Bridge Foreman
Department: Construction
Reports To: Bridge Superintendent / Project Superintendent
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary
The Bridge Foreman is responsible for directly supervising bridge construction crews and coordinating daily field activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.

Qualifications

5+ years of bridge or heavy highway construction experience preferred.
Previous experience supervising bridge construction crews.
Strong understanding of bridge construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
Ability to operate effectively around heavy equipment and active construction operations.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.
Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and travel as required by project needs.
OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety training preferred.
Valid driver's license required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and work around construction equipment for extended periods.
Ability to work at heights and in confined or difficult-to-access areas when required.
Ability to lift and carry construction materials and equipment as necessary.
Must be capable of wearing required personal protective equipment.

The successful Bridge Foreman is a strong field leader who keeps crews productive, maintains a safe jobsite, communicates effectively with the Superintendent, and ensures bridge work is completed correctly and on schedule.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate bridge construction crews and subcontractors in the field.
Plan daily work activities and assign personnel, equipment, and materials.
Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, and survey information.
Direct activities involving bridge foundations, footings, columns, abutments, caps, structural concrete, reinforcing steel, formwork, structural steel, bridge decks, and related work.
Monitor production and ensure work is completed according to the project schedule.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control.
Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company and project safety policies.
Identify potential safety hazards and take immediate corrective action.
Coordinate equipment, materials, deliveries, and manpower requirements with the Superintendent.
Communicate daily progress, production quantities, manpower, equipment needs, and issues to the Superintendent.
Inspect completed work and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly.
Coordinate with survey crews, subcontractors, inspectors, engineers, and other project personnel.
Troubleshoot field problems and recommend practical solutions.
Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.
Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are properly maintained and organized.
Train, mentor, and provide direction to less-experienced employees.
Perform other duties as assigned by project management.

Qualifications
