Position Description
The primary responsibility of this position is to drive/operate a specialized equipment with a tank and spraying mechanism used to apply tack to road surface to strengthen adhesion between layers of asphalt paving and joints curbs and utilities.

Position Description

Experienced Heavy Highway Superintendent needed. The idea candidate would be responsible for timely completion of multiple civil projects. Responsibly for scheduling project activities and directly supervising foreman(s) in the construction of all earthwork, roadwork or other assigned work

  • Maintains liaison with other departments and DOT representatives to insure all required materials, equipment and inspections support the project schedule. 
  •  Coordinates plans and specifications with the Project Manager, clarifying discrepancies.  Optimizes operations and procedures.

Position Description
Our client, a well-established highway contractor has an immediate need for an experienced Asphalt Paving Foreman. The ideal candidate should have advanced experience with Asphalt paving working as a lead man or a foreman in the heavy highway.civil construction industry.

*The responsibilities of the Asphalt Paving Foreman *Ensuring the safety of crew members and the public. *Training new crew members. *Calculating the number of trucks required to haul asphalt from the hot plant according to vehicle capacity, distance from work site, and productivity of drivers. *Touring job sites to ascertain progress in meeting time schedules, to detect insufficient utilization of workers and equipment, measure slope and material thickness to verify compliance with contracts, and to supervise the job. *Supervising and coordinating crew activities, studying production schedules, and estimating work requirements for completion of job assignment in compliance with or beating the job estimate. *Maintaining time and materials records necessary to complete daily job costing. *Maintaining company policy.

Heavy Highway Mechanic.

A well established road contractor is seeking an experienced highway mechanic. We are seeking someone with several years experience working on varies trucks and equipment in the heavy highway industry. It is imperative that this individual have knowledge on routine service requirements on a variety of heavy equipment.The ideal candidate's main duty is to service and repair the equipment and vehicles used in heavy highway construction operations.
Qualifications
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures.
  • Repairing and maintaining diesel and gasoline engines.
  • Adjusting and repairing ignition, fuel,electrical, hydraulic and steering systems.
  • Lubricating equipment.
  • Maintain and repair tires, batteries, brakes and valves.
  • Repair and replace worn parts such as pistons, bearings, gears, valves, bushings, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work space.
