Position Description

Our client is one of the largest construction companies in the southern United States, providing quality construction services to both public and private clients. The company provides a wide range of projects that include highways/roads, bridges, airports and marine construction; industrial plant construction and maintenance; sitework/environmental services.

We are currently in search of a Heavy Civil Field Engineer in the highway and civil department.  Under the direction of the of the Project Manager, candidate will provide overall on-site construction and technical management on large highway project site. We are looking for dependable, self-motivated individual with good communication skills.

Qualifications

Plans, coordinates, and manages on-site construction engineering activities and schedules and communicates with subcontractors. Prepares monthly pay estimates and updates the Project CPM schedule. Prepares, coordinates and updates job budgets, change orders and cost reports for Project Manager’s review and approval. Responsibilities: Review pay subcontractor pay estimates prior to management’s approval •Review the owner’s pay estimate prior to management’s approval •Supervise cost report management and lead regular review meetings •Supervise project CPM management and lead regular review meetings •Manage project document control system •Identify issues early and work to develop solutions •Prepare all required information for presentation at project reviews

Our client, a well-established contractor has an immediate need for an experienced Asphalt Paving Foreman to supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in spreading, rolling, tamping, and patching asphalt or similar material to form surfaces of highways, streets, parking lots.
