Asphalt Paving Foreman [Apply for Position#-CON-227]

Position Description
Our client, a well-established contractor has an immediate need for an experienced Asphalt Paving Foreman to supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in spreading, rolling, tamping, and patching asphalt or similar material to form surfaces of highways, streets, parking lots. Will directly supervise asphalt paving employees. Highly competitive base pay DOE. Company vehicle, health benefits end of year bonus, plus a generous sign on bonus!
Qualifications
*The responsibilities of the Asphalt Paving Foreman *Ensuring the safety of crew members and the public. *Training new crew members. *Calculating the number of trucks required to haul asphalt from the hot plant according to vehicle capacity, distance from work site, and productivity of drivers. *Touring job sites to ascertain progress in meeting time schedules, to detect insufficient utilization of workers and equipment, measure slope and material thickness to verify compliance with contracts, and to supervise the job. *Supervising and coordinating crew activities, studying production schedules, and estimating work requirements for completion of job assignment in compliance with or beating the job estimate. *Maintaining time and materials records necessary to complete daily job costing. *Maintaining company policy.
Responsibilities
Qualifications: *High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and 3-5 years of related asphalt paving experience or an equivalent combination of education and training. *Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. *Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently. *Ability to keep time and material records. *Ability to follow verbal and written instruction and communicate effectively. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year

Position Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with bridge building experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various construction projects including bridge, culvert box, and retention walls along interstate freeways.

  • Current OSHA (10 hour) certification, preferred

This includes accountability for all planning, short-term scheduling, the project workforce (including subcontractors), the project’s equipment fleet, and all project specific, company assets.
